This course contains six 7-minute video lessons (included on DVD and Blu-Ray) and 12 additional lessons in the textbook to help your children really see how art materials are used - giving parents and children the knowledge to handle art materials properly. Simply watch the video together, provide the art materials, and watch as your child creates an original work of art. In Volume 6: Art of the Impressionists students will learn about how the founding artists of the Impressionist Movement, with colorful expressions of nature and form in the midst of the Industrial Age. Textbook lessons feature artwork by Monet, Rodin, Degas, Renoir, Cassatt, and more as well as examples of student artwork, prep notes for teachers, and hints for teaching outside of the home environment. Children will work with painting with gouache, layering oil pastels, sculpting with modeling clay, plaster cloth construction, and more.
