Product Description

This booklet contains five dramatic monologues and five poems intended for congregational recitation during the season of Lent. The monologues give a unique perspective on the events of Jesus' crucifixion since they are shown from the eyes of Blacksmith, Carpenter, Stone Mason, Tanner, and Basket Maker. These presentations introduce the congregation to those who crafted the whip, wove the crown of thorns, forged the nails, constructed the cross, and chiseled out the tomb. Pastors can present these monologues themselves in a simple manner or assign them to church members as part of an elaborate performance.
