Darwin Vanderlinden Ii5 Stars Out Of 5September 3, 2010Darwin Vanderlinden IiOur family is enjoying using this unit study and we are learning a lot about all the countries. There could be more Bible lessons that tie into the material. I like unit studies that give a day to day lesson that is complete and this one gives a lot of great questions and research questions, but is not set up daily. I think we are still accomplishing a full day to day study with this student manual and I am very satisfied.
Shannon Bowlin4 Stars Out Of 5December 2, 2009Shannon BowlinI have not actually taught from this multi-level history curriculum yet. I have only reviewed it, made my binders and am collecting the supplemental resources to go with it. I don't think this is something that you just open and start teaching. It is not hard to understand, but you do need to have certain resources in order for the children to find/research the information. Unfortunately, I had only one of the recommended resources on hand. If you have a nice library close by that would be great also! I am sure we will enjoy the unit study, I am looking forward to it! You will have to make your own daily lesson plans, but that also allows you to focus more on things your children enjoy. For the price, I think this is a great buy even after purchasing the extra textbooks, so that I can multi-level and include all my children in the same history study! I think I am going to include some KONOS activities with it as well!
Dremel Homeschool5 Stars Out Of 5April 19, 2009Dremel HomeschoolExcellent resource for geography, history, etc. in a well-organized research-driven curriculum. Able to use for multiple grade levels at one time. Covers a great variety of issues about each country/continent, truly extensive AND at the same time encouraging further study if desired. Suggests further reading materials. Our favorite history/geography yet (after 8 years of homeschooling.)
Alicia Collins5 Stars Out Of 5March 20, 2009Alicia CollinsGreat worktext. We have not finished the entire book yet but my daughter is eager to complete it. After hearing my daughter's comments, my son is eager to begin as well.
Kathye Shuman5 Stars Out Of 5October 27, 2007Kathye ShumanGreat workbook for a great geography program. Because the kids have to dig for the answers, they really remember what they are studying.
How many pages is this? Is it 195, same as the new student
workbook? Does it include the same content as the new student workbook?
This 1st edition Extra Student Worktext has 223 pages. It is not compatible with the latest edition.
