Publisher's Description

A long time ago a mouse learned to fly . . . and crossed the Atlantic.

But what happened next? Torben Kuhlmann's stunning new book transports readers to the moon and beyond! On the heels of Lindbergh: The Tale of a Flying Mouse comes Armstrong: The Adventurous Journey of a Mouse to the Moon—where dreams are determined only by the size of your imagination and the biggest innovators are the smallest of all. The book ends with a brief non-fiction history of human space travel—from Galileo’s observations concerning the nature of the universe to man's first steps on the moon.

Author Bio

Torben Kuhlmann studied illustration and communications design at the Hamburg University of Applied Science, with book illustration as his main subject. In June 2012 he finished his studies by writing and illustrating the children’s book Lindbergh—The Tale of a Flying Mouse. This was his first picture book, and within a very short time it became a best seller. It has now been translated into more than thirty languages. Further mouse adventures followed with Armstrong (2016), Edison (2018), and Einstein (2021), all of which have achieved cult status.

Editorial Reviews

"Use this book for everything you can think of: in art lessons, history lessons, discussions on creativity and innovation, studies on why some people (or mice) think differently from everyone else; and the fact that everyone can achieve their goals, no matter how small or furry, if they only believe (and work and plan and experiment)." -- New York Journal of Books

"Kuhlmann’s copiously illustrated science fiction tribute to space exploration follows Armstrong on his quest to be the first mouse on the moon." -- School Library Journal, starred review

"'One Small Step for a Mouse' indeed." -- Kirkus Reviews, starred review
