Dr. R. LaMont Smith II is the pastor of Chapel Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Detroit, Michigan, and is an Adjunct Professor of Homiletics and Christian Leadership at Winebrenner Theological Seminary in Findlay, Ohio. In addition, Dr. Smith is the founder and president of Shalom Ministries Inc.; a ministry to serve churches and help people discover their divine destiny.Dr. Smith is best known for his preaching, teaching, church development, theological presentations and work with children and youth through social outreach. A popular speaker at ministry and leadership conferences around the world, Dr. Smith seeks, through Christ, to spread the Word and methodologies to build human lives and communities.Dr. Smith has served as lecturer for the Youth Division of the National Baptist Congress; has lectured for the Arkansas Baptist College, West Virginia State Convention, Metropolitan District Congress of Christian Education and Youngstown, Ohio State Convention to name a few.Besides his book Preaching to Improve an Economic Deprived Community, Dr. Smith is presently working on another book entitled The Prophetical Role for the 21st Century.In this book, "Are We There Yet?," anyone who works with youth will find a path to do what and become gripped by the divine power that the Eternal has placed in them to do.
