Equip Them to Value God’s Design

In today’s world, children are constantly exposed to confusing and often harmful ideas about sexuality, gender identity, and human biology. As a parent, it’s more crucial than ever to guide them with clarity and biblical truth, helping them navigate these challenging topics while honoring God’s design.

The Mama Bear Apologetics Guide to Sexuality and Gender Identity is an invaluable handbook for training your kids to know and respect God’s truth in a world that doesn’t. Expanded and revised with updated research and two brand-new chapters, this book will equip you to

  • understand God’s design for gender, sex, marriage, and family as a beautiful reflection of His nature
  • identify the tactics that distort biblical sexuality under the guise of Christian-sounding words, such as love, identity, tolerance, and justice
  • teach your kids to show Christlike compassion to others while upholding biblical truth

As society continues to blur the lines of what is good, true, and acceptable, God’s standards remain clear and unchanging. This book will give you the wisdom to confidently raise your children to understand sexuality and gender identity through a biblical lens.

Editorial Reviews

“In Mama Bear Apologetics Guide to Sexuality and Gender Identity, Hillary Ferrer and Amy Davison boldly confront the sexually misguided narrative being foisted upon today’s children. They do so with a deep sense of compassion, offering understanding and hope. With profound attention to biblical truth, this book provides a solid foundation for understanding sexuality and an acute observation of cultural realities. It informs, confronts, convicts, and offers practical help. It is a must-read for parents and Christian leaders and required reading for those seeking a certification in biblical sexuality ministry.”
—Ricky Chelette, president of The Institute of Biblical Sexuality

“Every day, our kids are bombarded by messages that glamorize a broken, corrupt, and ultimately empty view of gender and sexuality. In response, Hillary and Amy have written a book that every Christian parent needs—one filled with practical insight, humor, wisdom, and biblical truth. Buy it, read it, and equip your children.”
—Neil Shenvi, speaker and author of Why Believe?, Critical Dilemma, and Post Woke

“God’s beautiful design for sex has been targeted for destruction. Our culture denies it, abuses it, twists it, and demeans it. That’s why this updated volume by Mama Bear Apologetics is such a gift. It deals with the ‘ick’ of our culture’s distorted perspective on sex by highlighting God’s goodness. It’s honest yet gracious. Logical yet compassionate. Straight-shooting yet laugh-out-loud funny. By the end of each fast-paced chapter, you’ll know Scripture, the facts, and how to talk about each tough subject in a God-honoring, natural way.”
—Jeff Myers, PhD, president of Summit Ministries and co-author (with Kathy Koch) of Raising Gender-Confident Kids

“With compassion, empathy, and an unwavering commitment to Scripture, Ferrer and Davison equip parents and children to defend the biblical sexual worldview. And they do not mince words when it comes to the political agenda that is pushing sexuality on kids. Through Christlike love, this book is a call to arms to defend those held captive to sex-education curricula and its damaging ideas.”
—Josh D. McDowell, bestselling author and speaker

“Sex is never just about sex. Teens and young adults often cite biblical sexuality for the reason behind their rejection of Christianity. That is why Mama Bear Apologetics Guide to Sexuality and Gender Identity is a crucial resource for every parent. Hillary and Amy address the most relevant and confusing aspects of parenting in the shifting sands of sexual morality in our culture, giving examples from research, media, and education. They present foundational and complicated truths in a format that is easy to understand and apply. This book will equip you to navigate the discipleship journey with your kids with grace and truth.”
—Dr. Juli Slattery, author of Rethinking Sexuality and founder of SexualDiscipleship.com

"As mothers and avid readers, we can’t recommend this book enough. The culture is poisoning the hearts and minds of our children with a twisted vision of human sexuality and identity. Ferrer and Davison not only expose these lies, but they also replace them with a wonderful vision of the beautiful and breathtaking design God intends for human sexuality. This book will help you become the wise and trusted guide your kids need, leading them to the life-giving truths about love, sex, and identity that God has for His image bearers.”
—Erin Kunkle and Sarah Stonestreet, cohosts of the Strong Women podcast by the Colson Center

“Hillary’s book is an important parent resource to identify, deconstruct, and offer clarity to today’s distorted views of sexuality. God has already created an ideal for humanity and sexual integrity, and this book reminds us to stay faithful to His truth.”
—Monica Leal Cline, founder of It Takes a Family

“As is typical for the Mama Bear team, the Mama Bear Apologetics Guide to Sexuality and Gender Identity transforms confusion into clarity, anxiety into action steps, and polarization into Christ-centered partnership. This book is a must-read for anyone seeking to equip kids to biblically navigate gender, sexuality, and the cost of discipleship.”
—Elizabeth Urbanowicz, founder of Foundation Worldview

“The Mama Bear Apologetics Guide to Sexuality and Gender Identity is a timely and helpful book. Hillary tackles some of the thorniest issues of sex and identity today, yet she does so with compassion, insight, and biblical clarity. She also offers some practical steps for communicating these ideas to kids. I hope you will get a copy and start implementing these ideas today.”
—Sean McDowell, PhD, associate professor of apologetics at Biola University and the author of Chasing Love
