"With a clear and distinctive delivery narrator Christy King creates the atmosphere needed for the listener to relax and meditate on this books biblical message. The subtitle of the work, "A Womans Guide to Finding Contentment," describes its premise. Author Linda Dillow covers many of the problems a woman may face today, such as discouragement, anxiety, fear, and discontent. She recounts personal events in her life as well as stories from the lives of others. Applying scripture to all aspects of life, she teaches the value of living unselfishly in modern society. I am finished the first three cd's and I am disappointed. The speaker's voice is very monotone and it is hard to keep interested in listening to her. And the content is not what I was expecting. So far, I have heard more about tithing and not very much about strategies to deal with anxiety and worry. The author gave many examples of personal stories that were interesting at first, but became redundant. I am hoping that the final two cd's are more interesting and more on topic.

I like the reader's voice and would suggest it for use on car trips. The first disk includes a PDF with all the study questions which I opened on my computer. I was then able to use a larger font and create a notebook using a 3-ring binder. Now she can write her responses easily after listenng to the lesson. The CD set lacked a directory so I previewed the set and labeled the sleeves to indicate which disks contained which lessons. Certain lessons were continued between two disks. Even so, I still see this as a great resourse.
Vicki Stairs5 Stars Out Of 5April 10, 2009Vicki StairsIt was very good. Being a missionary I found it a encouragement because it fit into some of what I have experienced and know to be true. The CD was for my daughter as she is awaiting her husband(Marine) return and has a new baby. I was hoping they would also encourage her as she wait to hear from him and his return in June.
