This Year 1 series covers the foundational book of Genesis, from creation to the life of Joseph.
Based on the original ABC Sunday School curriculum, ABC Homeschool has been optimized for a homeschool environment and is designed for individual/family instruction with more opportunities to reinforce key ideas throughout the week (vs. just once a week on Sunday). This series uses one teacher's guide to be used with any age and any number of students. Each student should use their own age-appropriate workbook filled with puzzles, activities, and review questions (sold-separately). The student activities review and reinforce the main ideas from the lesson, as well as draw connections to other scriptures, apologetic ideas, and life application.
This curriculum covers 36 lessons per year; parents of younger students will spend 30-45 minutes teaching the lesson to your students, while older students can read the lesson themselves. The recommended schedule is 3 days each week per lesson. Each of the 6 quizzes cover 5-6 lessons, and each semester concludes with a review week and a semester test.
Each lesson is paired with an exclusive video episode of Building Blocks that illustrates main lesson objectives. In addition, 10 of the recommended memory verses have been put to music by Seeds Family Worship.
