what do i do when: answering your toughest questions about friends
February 27, 2015
I bought this for my daughter who just started public school for the first time in 7th grade, after homeschooling all the previous years. She was asking me questions about how to deal with certain situations, but I did not know what to tell her some of the time. I felt as unsure as she did. I didn't grow up in a Christian home so I'm learning as I go how to lead my daughter. I read this book before passing it on to her and found it quick and easy to read. It gave sound advise with scripture to go along with it. The author speaks in a way that makes himself sound like he's one of them, but with more experience. For me, as a parent, I'd like more information, but that would probably bore youth. Since this book was written for our children, I think it's nice for them to have on their shelves to be able to look at when a need arrises, but nothing takes the place of prayer and talking it out with mom and dad...even if we don't have all the answer, we can still join them in prayer. This book makes a nice gift to her friends also...according to her, they need the direction it provides.
