enjoying the CD

What a lovely album! Im so touched by every single song on this album and find joy in knowing so many people are blessed by Anne Wilsons ministry. Anne is the first female solo artist to reach number one on the Billboard Christian Airplay chart, and MY JESUS was the number one single at seven weeks total! Thats quite impressive.

Her story is very sweet. She had a passion for becoming an astronaut, but that changed when tragedy struck her family. She was discovered after a video of her singing What a Beautiful Name (by Hillsong) at her brothers funeral went viral. As she was about to perform at the service, the Lord spoke to her: Anne, this is what Im calling you to do. Im calling you to praise and worship my name. Doors quickly began to open for her and in less than two years she got her record deal with Capital Records, confirming Gods hand working in her life.

Like I said, each song on this album is beautiful, but there are a few that spoke especially deeply to me:

MAMAS led me to tears. Hillary Scott (from Lady A) accompanies Anne in this song. Their voices blend beautifully, and the genuine lyrics touched my soul.

NO PLACE LIKE HOME was written after Anne lost her brother in a tragic car accident, and she decided to trust the Lord through her grief.

DEVIL makes me want to shout victory!

HEY GIRL is a catchy, meaningful song so many women, young women especially, need to hear.

MY JESUS is a strong, testifying, ministering song that is sure to speak to your heart.

Love this new album! Anne's ministry shines through each song. Including Jesus in your life is so important, and it really comes through in these songs. Anne's voice and sound is unique and fabulous to listen to.

I was especially touched by the song "Mommas". My Momma has always been there for me through every little thing. Always someone I can turn to who is on my side. She is now in her late 80s and has early dementia. Even through all of her own struggles, she is still fully my wonderful Momma. This song is a wonderful tribute to her.
