    Angels In Our Midst

A boy loses his mom and dad in 911 and then lives with an uncle that is in trouble with the law. What was really good is how the boy would talk to his guardian angel and the other kids made fun of him. What I really liked was the boy was getting picked on and even boys made him bleed. The angel told the boy to act like David with the stones. The girl comes along to try to save the boy from the fight and the kid that was picking on him threw her and made her hit her head and possibly broke her neck. The guardian angel came down and healed her and she also seen the angel.

Don't judge a movie by its cover. The smiling boy on the front of this DVD is never happily smiling to this degree in the entire movie. This movie centers on stealing; lying; adultery (mother has a man upstairs when her son comes home); bullying; one-sided fights while the bully's "gang" cheer the torture on; calling the traumatized Tobey "retarded" numerous times throughout the movie; the portrayal of teachers being disrespected and nonobservant; beer drinking uncle who uses middle-school boys to bring stolen goods to him; and a supposedly "Christian" family who talks the talk but doesn't walk the walk. All of this negativity is 90% of the movie. Too much time spent on negativism and little time spent on making things right with God. The friendship of Tobey with Suzy is the only uplifting thread throughout the movie. We won't keep this movie, nor will we donate it to Goodwill."Angels in Our Midst" should not have received the seal of being Dove Approved in my opinion.
