Publisher's Description

Andi Boggs and her best friend Colin Carter are at it again … in this third book of the Andi Boggs series, Andi Unstoppable, school has begun for the two Killdeer middle schoolers and the science teacher has a great idea! He is an expert birder and wants his class to share in the fun. In a birding group with Colin and her biggest school rival, Ava, Andi sets out to be the first student in class to spot the elusive Kirtland warbler but ends up spotting the town’s resident ghost instead!

Together with her friends, Andi takes on another small town mystery—is the legend of the ghost of Dominika Shalley more than just a story? And does her sudden appearance have anything to do with the holes the friends find in the Shalley graveyard as they look for the rare bird?

Andi and her fellow detective Calvin, her next-door neighbor, are given and assignment by their teacher of finding a rare bird that has been sighted in their area, the Kirtlands Warbler. Now that is an assignment that I would love, but these kids are being offered a chance to get good grades and experience nature in a raw form.

Now Calvins Aunt Claudette is a real birder, she has traveled the globe looking for rare species, and is in town to see the Kirkland. She offers to help them and they end up camping in the park and seeing a ghost, now that is a bit more than birding,

These kids also have to put up with a classmate with whom they have a mutual dislike, come along as these three try to work together and end up solving another mystery at the same time.

A really nice teen read that will grab their attention and keep it to the end.

I received this book through Booklook Bloggers and was not required to give a positive review.

I received this copy of Andi Unstoppable from the book look bloggers program for my honest review. This book is written by Amanda Flower. It is the third book in the Andi Boggs Novel Series.

I enjoyed this book from the beginning. It is about a girl in middle school named Andi Boggs. She is best friends with a boy named Colin. Together they create some great adventures. In this book they are on a school project to bird watch. But they set out to solve a great mystery with historical significance. In this book they learn that not everything is the way it seems. Especially people they know.

This book kept my interest the whole time I was reading. My children all want to read it just by seeing me read it and looking at the cover. The first two books in the series received Agatha Award Nominations. The only complaint I have about this book is that I wish I would have read the first two books. Some situations were revealed in this book that I wish I knew more about from the last books. Overall I really enjoyed this book and I know my kids will too.

Andi Unstoppable, by Amanda Flower, is a great mystery book about a great friendship and trust. School is back in session at Killdeer Elementary School and the science teacher is an avid bird watcher. What a great idea to get the kids involved also, right? He asks to pair up the kids and Andi isnt worried at all. Her best friend, Colin and her are always together. After the class settles down she turns towards Colin and Ava has beat her to it! How could she? She heads over to where the two are and the science teacher pairs the three of them up (since there is an odd number of kids in the class it worked out this way).

The trio has an advantageColins Aunt is a birder and is willing to take the kids out. There is an extra 20 points also, if you get a picture of the Kirtland Warbler bird, Andi wants to get this before Ava. They end of finding more than birds on this assignment when it brings them to where the legendary ghost is supposed to haunt. The legend says that she is haunting this area protecting her children killed during the war. Its only a legend, they dont believe in ghosts then they see it! Something that looks like a ghost floating around. Do they capture the picture they were seeking for the extra points? Do they get the ghost? You will have to read the book to find out!

There are two other books in this wonderful series with the main characters Andi and Colin one is Andi Unstoppable followed by Andi Under Pressure. The authors aim is for the audience between ages 8-12 although these novels can be enjoyed by adults too. I loved that Andi and Colin are best friends and know each other so well even when they dont share their thoughts.

In this story, we have a school assignment for Andi and Colins science class that turns out to be a lot more than just trying to locate and document birds over the weekend. Colins aunt has shown up and being a bird enthusiast offers to take the kids for the weekend to the park and help them with their assignment. While sitting around a campfire with other campers, a tale is told of local folklore regarding a ghost that haunts the woods from the Civil War era.

What makes the novel so intriguing is the depth of the tale, characters and surprise twists that draw the audiences attention as the story deepens. I love how some adults are definitely good role models and others arent in the novel. I love too how the hearts of these middle graders are touched when they learn about the heartache a classmate is struggling to cope with daily. All three books by this author would make excellent gifts to encourage reading in any family or friend!

With all the books being offered today to this age range and some of them not good; it is nice to see an author write to bring a wholesome and godly message!

Im a bit confused at the copyright pageit shows the copyright of the NIV Bible, yet no Scriptures are mentioned nor quoted in Andi Unstoppable, much to my dismay. I liked the first two Andi books much better than this one, due to the whole ghost thing, but I did like learning more about Ava.

*BFCG may (Read the review to see) recommend this book by this author. It does not mean I recommend all the books by this author.
