When the Circle C ranch decides to host a rodeo competition with two other ranches, dozens of cowboys are eager to prove they're the best riders and ropers in the valley. But they're not the only ones who want to show off their skills - Andi aims to lasso her way to the prizes, even if big brother Chad says the contest isn't for kids.
The roundup is meant to be a time for food, fun, and friendship. But before Andi can prove she's got what it takes to be a real cowgirl, the day turns dangerous. Will a friendly rodeo turn into a range war between ranchers and sheepherders? Can Andi and her family keep their neighbors - and themselves - safe?

Seasons of GraceAge: 35-44Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5Great Series for Those Tomboy GirlsJanuary 28, 2018Seasons of GraceAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5My ten year old daughter and I have been enjoying the Circle C Series with the Andi as the "star". Andi lives on a ranch and loves horseback riding and all other "tomboyish" activities. Her favorite pastime is riding her horse Taffy and spending time with her friend Sadie. In this book, Andi has her heart set on participating in the rodeo competition, and coming out the winner! But at the ranch, as in life, things don't always go as planned.
My daughter also loves horses and all things outdoors and active! So this is such a fun series for her to read, that promotes healthy values, faith and builds character. Lots of times we read these together. It's always fun to see what kind of excitement Andi will stir up, where it will take her, and how the situation will turn out.
We highly recommend this series!!
Thank you to Kregel and Susan for our free copy of this book to read. We were not required or asked to review it positively.
Amanda4 Stars Out Of 5A fun adventure!January 2, 2018AmandaQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This was a fun story about 9 year old Andi, who lives on a ranch in 1877. In order to separate cattle for different ranches, the Circle C ranch decides to hold a rodeo. Andi excitedly practices roping, hopeful to participate in the childrens events.
Andi is a delightful character, a bit precocious and somewhat of a tomboy, she was a lot of fun to read about. I enjoyed the rodeo scene and found the history lesson at the end of the book very informative.
The book also has some great illustrations throughout that really add to the story.
This would be a very enjoyable story for any young girl between the ages of 7 and 10 to read.
My Rating: 4 stars
I received this book from Kregel Publishing. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The author presents a compelling read story, and as we experience and excited Andi and her friends learning to rope calves, or sheep, with the hope of competing in the rodeo that is going to happen at the Circle C. Unfortunately, in her enthusiasm Andi forgets to take care of her horse. Come and enjoy what happens and the lessons to be learned.
I received this book through Kregel Blogger Program, and was not required to give a positive review.

E. A. S.5 Stars Out Of 5Too Great a Book to Put Down!!!November 13, 2017E. A. S.Quality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5"Andi Lassos Trouble" is a sweet, perfect book for your little one. Full of wholesome, Christian-based material, this 3rd book in Susan K. Marlow's Circle C Stepping Stones series is one you won't want to miss!
9-year-old Andi is back for more adventure, fun, and - mostly - excitement. Eager to test out her lassoing skills at the Circle C Rodeo, Andi practices and practices. She wants to train Taffy, her golden filly, to be the perfect roping horse.
But obstacles stand in the way, and Andi must overcome them. She does her best, but the greatest trial is yet to come. On top of it all, what can Chad do to calm down the hostile ranchers at some unexpected guests' arrival on the day of the rodeo?
Find out in this AWESOME book!
Also, for a fun, educational tidbit, Susan K. Marlow included a small chapter at the end of what rodeos were like then and now. All of this makes this book perfect for your young one. They'll love this book and won't be able to put it down!
I am a 13-year-old girl who received this book free from Kregel Publications to review. I made no promise that my reviews would be positive. This review is unbiasedly based on my own thoughts and opinions.
