Publisher's Description

AND HE WALKS WITH ME is a project that God put on my heart in 2009. Since then I have worked on stories, reviewed many pictures, and painted a picture for the front cover. This is a labor of love so that my family and friends can know more fully why I am so devoted to our Lord, Jesus Christ. The title is derived from one of my favorite old hymns that I learned in church as a brand new Christian. It has a chorus that says "And He walks with me and He talks with me, and He tells me I am his own." The front cover is derived from a vivid dream I had in June of 2010 where I saw myself as a little girl walking hand in hand with Jesus towards a bright and glowing horizon. I drew a sketch of it the very next day and then tried to find someone to paint it for me. My son, Mike Jr., told me that I should paint it myself. I responded that he had way too much confidence in my ability. However, his words stayed with me and I worked up the courage to try to paint it myself in March of 2011. You see, I haven't painted since the 1970's and I was very unsure of my artistic abilities after such a long period of time.I was able to paint what I saw in my dream and my publisher put it on the front cover for me. All because my son had faith in me and encouraged me to try, and also because, I prayed that God would help me, and He did May you find hope and encouragement as you read my stories, because if God did it for me He can do it for you. The Bible says that God is no respecter of persons and that He is the same yesterday, today and forever.Love, Vivi Anderson

Tell us a little about yourself.  I have had exciting and life changing experiences with God as I have walked out my faith in following Jesus with all my heart. I had to share them with family and anyone who would listen so they can know that God is present and wants to walk with us here on earth.

What was your motivation behind this project?  One such life changing experience was when I was led to speak to a young man I didn't know. He was going to commit suicide that morning but because of the message I gave to him that "God Loves Him", he changed his mind. So you see, I had to wrtite these down for others to be encouraged to also follow the promptings from the Holy Spirit. May God bless you as you read these stories and are motivated too.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  I hope all who read my stories will be encouraged to follow the promptings in their hearts placed there by God and be able to help others.

How were you personally impacted by working on this project?  I learned how to write a book! I had never dreamed that I would be writing these stories in a book for others. But the first thing that happened was a deep desire to share my stories with my family for a legacy of faith. Then I thought "I don't know how to write a book!" And the next thought that came was "But I do know how to write." So began the journey of writing this book and four years later I wrote a second book called "And He Talks With Me". It is a follow up to the first book because there were so many other stories that I had not written. And also I painted the cover for the 2nd book. Which came from another vivid dream I had. How good God is!

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  My first Pastor, Kenny Foreman, from Cathedral of Faith in San Jose, CA was instrumental in growing my faith in a powerful and loving God. His sermons demonstrated that our daily life was intertwined with God if we read the Bible and learned from it. My mother was the first great influence in my faith walk. She introduced me to Jesus Christ and prayed over me until I became a believer. I thank God for these pioneers of the faith. I hope to be that instrument of encouragement to others and help them to grow in faith as well.
