this series had been on my list to purchase for a while, but lack of funds prohibits me. nevertheless I am preaching through Acts and 'needed' another commentary.

this is ao helpful and the series is robust and a window into how the early church thought on many matters.

I will say it's good to know when the commentator is writing and what stream he comes from as not everyone of history has thr same primary view of moat pastors amd commentators today. meaning often times thr medieval comments in particular had 4 different approaches to the Word and thus wpuld often spiritualize things when it was clearly direct and 'normal' meaning. we must know the genre of the writing, who is writing and the context of it.

anyway, this series is well done as far as quality and content.
