A total of 400 pages (with recipes!), An Amish Cradle is a pretty super-clean read. Lets break down my thoughts on each novella.

In His Fathers Arms by Beth Wiseman As someone who has a heart for kids with special needs and a future Occupational Therapist, I did enjoy this novella. Tied for first with....

A Son for Always by Amy Clipston Yay! I get to see Carolyn & Joshua & Ben again! Connected to A Mothers Secret a full length story, it was nice to see them again...even if I cant relate to the storyline.

A Heart Full of Love by Kathleen Fuller While reading this novella, I got the feeling that I was missing something! Turns out its connected to a novella in the An Amish Love collection.

An Unexpected Blessing by Vannetta Chapman Now this one...Hmmm. I got the same feeling from it but I cant find that its connected to any other novellas/novels. Hmm!

*BFCG may (Read the review to see) recommend this book by this author. It does not mean I recommend all the books by this author.

*I received this book for free from an Author for this review.

*In His Fathers Arms by Beth Wiseman

Learning to accept the birth of a child with Down Syndrome is very difficult for Ruth Anne's husband to accept as he distances himself from his wife and son. This story about a special needs baby is written with honesty and sensitivity, and represents issues that any parent of a child with special needs would encounter. It's a poignant story of faith and overcoming fear, as a young couple comes to terms with the realities of their child's condition.

*A Son for Always by Amy Clipston

Carolyn refuses to give up her worrying, and pushes herself beyond her limits. This Amish family is strong, and the characters in this story are well rounded and believable. I found myself angry with Carolyn's constant worry and lack of faith in both her husband and God. Tangible concerns are dealt with in a discerning and inspiring manner as Carolyn seeks peace, trust and faith in both family and God.

*A Heart Full of Love by Kathleen Fuller

Ellie's story is poignant. Her mother lacks confidence in her ability to care for her twin infants because of her blindness. Ellie's maam also has a lack of trust that affects her relationship with her daughter and newborn twins. Reconciliation and faith are redeeming themes that run through this novella of a difficult relationship related to past tragedies in the lives of Ellie and her maam.

*An Unexpected Blessing by Vannetta Chapman

An unexpected Blessing takes place in Shipshewana, Indiana where winters are brutal. Vannetta Chapman writes with a familiarity of the area that only a seasoned visitor would know. This story of faith, family, financial struggles and parenting in the Amish community is told with sensitivity, tenderness and warmth!

This book was so enjoyable to read and each story, although unique in its own way, came together as one very wonderful read.

In His Father's Arms, a story about a child with Down Syndrome, a difficult time for parents in understanding the Lord's plan for them. Ruth and Levi must learn what this different path has in store for them. Author: Beth Wiseman.

A Son For Always shares the story of Carolyn and Joshua as they prepare for their first child together, and how Carolyn's son Benjamin will fit into their family. Although Joshua has adopted Ben as his own son, Carolyn feels the responsibility for his financial welfare. Will she be able to trust and have faith that they are all now one family, rather than a family separated from past mistakes in life. Author: Amy Clipston.

A Heart Full of Love is a sweet story of a mother who wants to take care of her new twin granddaughters. She feels that her daughter Ellie, who is blind due to an accident, needs lots of help and would not be able to handle things on her own. Ellie feels heartbroken as she is unable to begin the bonding she had hoped to have with her new twins. When will her mother allow her to be the mother she had always hoped to be? And why won't she let her? Author: Kathleen Fuller.

An Unexpected Blessing a tale of an older couple learning that they are expecting a child. The story tells of an older estranged son, David, who has chosen his own path. As a mother again, Etta prays that her children will find their way despite experiencing many changes and that God will look after her family.
