If you want to get all the rich nuances of the original Bible languages, the Amplified Bible is for you. No working knowledge of Greek or Hebrew is required—just a desire to know more about what God says in his Word. With its unique system of brackets, parentheses, and italics, the Amplified Bible defines and expands key words and phrases right in the text. Verse by verse, the deeper meaning behind the message of Scripture unfolds as you read.
This updated edition of the Amplified Bible is even easier to read and better than ever to study and understand. It includes more amplification in the Old Testament and refined amplification in the New Testament. It's the same feel and style of study material that you expect from the Amplified Bible--now with even clearer wording for deeper understanding
Now available in a more portable size, the Amplified Bible is perfect for an on-the-go lifestyle. Whether you are headed to class, to church, to a coffee shop, or on a trip around the globe, the Amplified Bible can travel with you.

Dale5 Stars Out Of 5Worth every penny!November 28, 2016DaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This edition of the Amplified Bible is a great improvement over the earlier one. I find it easier to read - less 'jerky', so more comfortable. Nice large font too. The bonded leather one that I have is nice and flexible, not stiff like some are. My only complaint is it has no maps, but that isn't important as I have lots of other Bibles that have maps - some good, some bad, and some ugly.
D. Lind5 Stars Out Of 5Excellent & beautifulJune 22, 2016D. LindQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Love this (version from 2015). I bought one for my Lady and one for myself. Amazed! (Yes - we both agree on that)
Well worth buying; It's the best companion to my TLV and NKJV. I always try to understand the exact meaning - and here you'll get a good piece of that! Be Blessed!
D4 Stars Out Of 5Amplified LArge-Print Bible--bonded leeather, burgundyMay 27, 2016DQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4This is a very good version of the Bible. It reads like a story and a bit easier to understand the full meaning. I also have the NIV and was reading them side by side. They are very different and with with completely different meanings in some cases. Some things would have gone unknown to me ie: Amplified explains 'pagan' as Gentiles. Prince= Satan, and taking the narrow gate is described in the Amplified as ' always seek life '. ( I like that) No description in the NIV. It does have dictionary/concordance which explains things if you look, but the Amplified explains as you read. However, I did send the Amplified back because the front leather cover was defective. Christain Books was very good about it. I'm with the NIV now and have gotten used to it. More to the point. And the Giant print version is great even if you can see. Just makes it read so much easier. The Italian Duo binding is very smart and the book feels great. As did the Amplified leather bound. (NIV is bigger and heavier) So I've just reviewed 2 Bibles!!! Either way, you will do well. My aim is to understand Jesus once and for all, and they both do that. Just a matter of preference. While it is a beautiful book, I will go with the Hardcover large print version next time. Less $$$ and less delicate, as I read it outside and near water and wherever...and the leather bound seems more for a home Bible. It's subjective . I'll read both at some point; let me get through one ;) Enjoy!
