Wanda Brunstetter writes lovely simple stories that are easy to read and offer the peace of Amish life when ours is surrounded by the rush of the Christmas season. In this story, We follow the romance between Karen Yoder and Will Henderson, who are engaged. Their plans to marry hit a snag when Will expresses growing anger over his Dad's apparent abandonment of him as a boy. Will's real father has his own emotional issues resulting from his guilt. With much help from his new wife and Will's adoptive parents, forgiveness and love bring healing to this fragmented family. Who else but Wanda Brunstetter could bring resolution on the back of a recipe card!
Again, I love Wanda's books and this was no exception. This is a wonderful heartwarming reminder of how every family is not perfect but with God they can work through any problems. Great and easy reading.
