Deb5 Stars Out Of 5COULD NOT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN!!!March 10, 2016DebQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0Oh my goodness. What a wonderful novella. David & Stella are in their 50s. Davids wife, the love of his life, has passed away, and he has come to stay with his daughter, Rebecca in Nappanee, Indiana. He loves his life. He has a kind, sweet, gentle spirit. He loves God and strives to live his life for Him every day. Stella has never married because she didnt think anyone would want to marry her because she could not have children. The Amish are known for their big families. They work together and fall in love. I love that in this book Vannetta has shown us that love and marriage are wonderful no matter what age the couple are. God has a plan for each of our lives, and sometimes that plan isnt revealed until we are getting older. BUT, it also tells us that Gods plan is always best. Always for our good. And just because we have physical things wrong with us doesnt mean we cant fall in love, marry, and live happily ever after. This book made me believe even more in miracles and even more in love that lasts through the years. On into forever. Would recommend that you get this book and read it. Anything by Vannetta Chapman will keep you spellbound for hours. And, you will be living the books you are reading. Thank You Vannetta. Keep writing for our Lord.

Life does not always go as planned and sometimes bitterness creeps in, as it has for Stella, unmarried older woman living with her sister in Nappanee, Indiana, and working in the Old Amish Mill. David's life has veered from a happily married life in Wisconsin to becoming a widower and now living with his daughter and grandchildren in Nappanee, Indiana, and working in the Old Amish Mill. Pranks are happening at the mill, a favorite tourist spot and David, an objective newcomer, has been asked to unofficially investigate. Are the pranks just kids playing around or something more sinister to cause the mill to close? Is it some Englischer or an Amish person? Stella realizes she may be able to help David and the two become partners in solving the Mill crimes. Bitterness and sorrow have brought loneliness, fears, and heartache. Will this partnership lead to more fears and heartache or will there be new love to share? Love in Store is a sweet novella full of grace, charm, a little mystery and adventure.

NanceeGrand Rapids, MichiganAge: Over 65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Love in StoreFebruary 16, 2016NanceeGrand Rapids, MichiganAge: Over 65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5The Old Mill in Nappanee, Indiana is a tourist community where visitors can visit an Amish themed community and learn numerous techniques that the Amish employ in their daily living. Among the various venues is an Amish Market, a theater, a one room school house, an ice house, etc.
David Stoltzfus, a widower living with his newly widowed daughter and her children has found working at the Amish Market, a satisfying and enjoyable job. Stella, a rather grumpy coworker doesn't appear to find any pleasure in her life but David offers her friendship anyway.
Characters in this warmhearted novella are charming, and for the most part, likable. Detailing regarding the Market are realistic and descriptive of a typical Amish community. Ms. Chapman does her homework and does it well! Mysterious events begin altering the atmosphere of the community, igniting fear and anxiety.
David enlists Stella's assistance in unveiling the culprit or culprits behind the bizarre events. Stella is reluctant, but curious. Will they uncover the secrets behind these pranks, and how will that affect their friendship?
As with Ms. Chapman's other books, this one is filled with charm and mystique. Her approach to Amish fiction has a different twist from that of other authors, and I love that refreshing approach!
