Whoever came up with the concept of this book was totally imaginative. I think if you were not in the Christmas spirit before reading this book each one of these stories, individually, will put you there. There is a town called North Star, Pennsylvania and one precious night Rebekah, a midwife, helps deliver four babies into the world. Fast forward until now and these four children, three girls and one boy, are each involved in a romance and some sort of healing. This is riveting stuff. Each one, by itself, is really a deep story that is full of tender drama. Each author gives us great characters that we can really identify with and care for and root for their respective romances to succeed. Dont start this book late at night because you are going to want to finish it before you go to bed. I think everyone should read this book, not only for the fun of it, but for the healing that the various characters have to deal with. I think that this book would make an excellent gift to give to friends and family.

This is a book of 4 wonderful Christmas novellas. These are all Amish stories that are connected by a single night in December. The main characters of each story were born on December 1 in an Amush birthing clinic in the town of North Star.

I loved every story and they were all wonderful. The four stories are Guiding Star by Katie Ganshert, Mourning Star by Amanda Flower, In the Stars by Cindy Woodsmall and Star of Grace by Mindy Starns Clark and Emily Clark.

I did not want to put any of the stories down. This is such an uplifting set of Christmas novellas.

I received this book from Bloggingforbooks for a fair and honest opinion.

Josh said she was too picky. But to Elle it was a matter of not settling.

~ Guiding Star by Katie Ganshert

When Amish midwife Rebekah Schlabach delivers four babies on one blizzardy night, adventures are certain to follow. Each of the novellas in Amish Christmas at North Star tells the story of one of Rebekahs babies.

    Guiding Star by Katie Ganshert

Noelle Elle McAllisters journey to find her birth mother takes her back to where her life began: the birthing center in North Star, Pennsylvania. Will she find more than she bargained for once she arrives?

    Mourning Star by Amanda Flower

Eden Hochstetler attempts to uncover the truth about an elderly friends death. Will she also find love, or only a similar demise as her friend?

In the Stars by Cindy Woodsmall

Savilla Savvy Beiler faces a grim future yet doesnt tell the one person she loves the most. Will unexpected responsibilities during the holiday season force her to reveal her secret?

Star of Grace by Mindy Starns Clark and Emily Clark

Andy Danner has no plans to return home after his fiance jilted him, but his little brother believes the two should reconcile. Will a promise bring Andy home against his wishes?

The only author Id ever read before out of the five who contributed to this beautiful novella collection was Katie Ganshert. Ive enjoyed her other books very much, so I decided to give Amish Christmas at North Star a try, even though it was a new genre for Katie. Im so glad I did! Each story brought a unique point of view and left me wanting much more. Could there be a sequel to this book, please? Ill be looking for more books by all of these authors.

Some of the notes I took while reading this collection:

    intrigued me right away

wrapped itself around my heart as if it were a vine clinging to a tree

characters that kept me laughing and glued to the page

    great twist

forced the lead characters to work together when they werent on good terms, which makes for interesting drama

    delightful Christmas story

This book would make a wonderful Christmas gift for those booklovers on your list!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Blogging for Books in exchange for my honest review.
