Very, very good! The story of Joe and his friends and their quest for gold drew me in quickly and kept me hooked to the end. The interweaving of the young men's lives and the history of the time was amazing. Such hard-knock times produced amazing people--inspiring people. And I'm not the only one to think this because when I shared the book with my dad, he read through it even faster than I did. Such a great tale to share!
