New American Catholic Study Bible
September 6, 2011
This is quite a good Bible in that it contains the Deuto-canononical books or so called Apochrypha. At the beginning of the Bible there is a substantial section of over 500 pages of introductory notes and information concerning each book. A seperate book in itself really. The translation does not alter "Proper Nouns" as many do. Thank God they do away with this non-biblical word Hell and use the correct language as is found in the original manuscripts. There are notes and cross referrences at the foot of each column. The text is very easy to read and great for those whose studious eyes are growing dim. Here and there the notes favour a Catholic approach but the work on the whole is a valuable tool for Catholic and Protestant alike.
