By profession I am a scientist. Many people in my chosen field do not believe in the God, the Bible or anything spiritual. Having been raised in a protestant family made me believe in God. Herbert Lockyer was blessed in a mighty way by the Lord. Although he did not know he would become a minister, the call was heard by him as a young man. His wife being a devout christian also greatly influenced him and his ministry. He lived a long and fruitful life being nearly 100 years old when he passed away on December 3, 1984. I have found this gentle giant to be gifted with tremendous literary skill and I plan to read every book penned by him. I highly recommend this book to be included in the list of must read books to all who are trying to understand the written word of our our heavenly father.
