All About Reading’s Orton-Gillingham-based program teaches foundational literacy skills using multisensory strategies. In Level 2, students will learn three-letter blends, the jobs of Silent E, more new phonograms, methods for identifying base words and decoding multisyllable words, reading words with the past tense ending -ed, and more concepts. They'll also practice comprehension skills like comparing/contrasting main characters, skimming for information, making inferences, and more. Vocabulary, reading fluency, and comprehension are all emphasized throughout. This Level 2 Complete Materials Kit includes most of the required resources for teacher and student. Each of the 57 lessons are scripted in the open-and-go Teacher’s Manual, so, with very little prep, you can focus on your child and keep the lesson time short, fun, and engaging.
