Math-U-See is a complete, skill-based mastery curriculum for grades K-12. Designed to teach students specific skills in a definite, logical sequence, this systematic and cumulative approach will help students learn how to solve math problems and discover why they're solved that way. Math-U-See’s newest program, Algebra 1: Principles of Secondary Mathematics, helps to prepare students planning to take the PSAT, ACT, SAT, and CLT tests and provides course requirements of the NCAA. The Student Worktexts are two consumable books with lessons that include clear objectives, guided notes, examples, checkpoints, practice pages, mastery check pages, and targeted review pages. A laminated Formula Sheet/Mastery Rubric is also included. The Tests Book provides tests for each lesson, unit tests, a midterm test, and a final exam along with an answer key.
The Digital Pack, which is an essential and required part of the course, is not included with this set. Other course requirements that are not included are graph paper and a graphing calculator (or access to graphing software).
Prerequisite is Pre-Algebra, however it is highly recommended that the student also complete Math-U-See’s Algebra 1 Readiness Check.
