Hookmeinabook5 Stars Out Of 5Dr. David Jeremiahs New Book!September 20, 2015HookmeinabookQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for Agents of Babylon: What the Prophecies of Daniel Tell Us About the End of Days.Hey, I just read my first complete Non- Fiction book!
( I have started several, but never finished it)
I just finished reading Agents of Babylon by Dr. David Jeremiah. It is a book study on the Book of Daniel, which is the 27th book in the Bible.
Dr Jeremiah goes into great detail about the faith, courage and devotion of a young Jewish captive that was taken from his home at the age of 14 and forced to serve the king of Babylon. The book outlines the events that occurred during the book of Daniel, Such as when Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nago were thrown into the fiery furnace , The Writing on the Wall, King Nebuchadnezzar's Dream and the well known story of Daniel and Lions Den. But the book also goes into great detail about visions that Daniel received from God that foretold events that were in the future for Daniel but have already come to pass for us, like Alexander the Great, Ptolemy II, and Antiochus Epiphanes (Antiochus IV) . We are also shown the visions that God gave Daniel that foretell events that have not happened yet like the reign of the Antichrist, The characteristics of the Antichrist, and The 7 year
Tribulation. We are shown evidence of Spiritual warfare when we read about a battle between some demons and the angels Gabriel and Michael. We also get a glimpse into the life of Daniel and his friends through fictional stories that start each chapter. The stories are about what we will learn in the " The Scripture Behind The Stories" section that forms the second half of each chapter and at the end of each chapter it ends with the "Daniel for Today" section that shows how we can apply the truths we just learned in our every day lives. Dr Jeremiah also includes some amazing charts in the book, like the "A" Kings of Daniel 11 or "An Unexpected Answer to Prayer" that help us picture events or timelines. There is a lot of information in this one book, but I can't tell you everything, I guess you will have to read it to find out what else is in the book.
I loved the book, it did take me some time to get into it since I normally only read fiction but I did enjoy the book very much. I love the fictional stories that capture your attention and the "The Scripture behind the Stories " section that separate fact from fiction. The book was very easy to understand and had a lot of Scripture to back up his points. Overall, I give this book 5 stars *****
I would like to thank Tyndale House Publishers for allowing me to read and review this book in return for a free copy and I was not asked to write a favorable review, Just a honest one. -
Doc HiltonHorseshoe Bend, ARAge: 45-54Gender: male5 Stars Out Of 5Transformational Bible Teaching from Dr. David JeremiahNovember 5, 2015Doc HiltonHorseshoe Bend, ARAge: 45-54Gender: maleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for Agents of Babylon: What the Prophecies of Daniel Tell Us About the End of Days.Get ready to experience Bible Prophecy as youve never seen it before! Dr. David Jeremiah, following up on his best-selling book Agents of The Apocalypse, uses the same literary techniques to bring you Agents Of Babylon, a fresh look at the prophecies of Daniel, their implications for the future and their applications for today.
In his own words, Dr. Jeremiah explains: In my previous book Agents of the Apocalypse, I opened each chapter with a fictional narrative about the subject of the chapter and ended with an exposition of the Scripture behind the story. The fictional section is designed to whet the readers appetite for scriptural truth by showing the drama and excitement inherent in biblical narratives. The second section is designed to separate fact from fiction and make relevant applications to our lives.
The result is a book that draws you in, opens the Scriptures, and then suggests immediate, relevant, authentic applications of the Scriptures to your life. Dr. Jeremiahs gifted imagination enables him to write compelling narrative, and his commitment to teaching the complete Word of God teaches you in such a way that you dont even realize you are learning. In fact, Dr. David Jeremiahs ministry is not education, so much as it is transformation.
If you are the same person after reading Agents of Babylon, perhaps you need to read it again!
5 stars for transformation Bible teaching from Dr. David Jeremiah!

This book is about the book of Daniel that will provide us with the knowledge to see the history of that time and how it relates to society in today's world. His writings tell us of how we must be to remain for GOD in our future and in the end of times. Dr. Jeremiah will reveal two types of people, those that have dedicated their lives to GOD and those that are on their own missions and life courses (not involving GOD).
The format of the book is that each chapter starts out with a fictional story, then the words of the bible giving you the real truth vs. what was made up. The final section of the chapter gives a detailed description of the events you just read and how it all relates in today's world.
I would recommend this book to all that want to know about our end days and to study Daniel. It is for all ages, very easy to read and understand. I enjoyed this book and think it is a great way to learn the bible, from a fictional, historical and today's world view point. This is not a fast read, but a book that you keep reading because you can't put it down.

The narrative at the beginning of each chapter gives the reader an enhanced understanding of the traditions and background at that time in history, followed by Dr. Jeremiahs explanation of scripture from his thorough research. I have read other of Dr. Jeremiahs books with the same appreciation for detail.
