Publisher's Description

When Brady becomes lost in the depths of the fabled Witchita forest, he discovers an amazing secret about the legend that lives there. With Shepherd, his faithful dog at his side, he endures a series of dangerous situations where his faith and hope is tested. Brady must rely on his keen instincts and survival skills to make it through the night. He hears the familiar sound of his Uncle's bush plane overhead and prays for a rescue, but when all hope is lost, he is surprised by mysterious help in a strange and curious way. Brady never realized that he would play a vital role in the history of the Forest Legend. For thirty years I have worked at my husband's side running our family-owned business in the Pacific Northwest. I am blessed with three beautiful daughters and enjoy being grandma to my four sweet grandchildren. In October of 2008 my life changed when I learned I had breast cancer. From that moment I continued to pray "not my will but Thy will be done." I never questioned God but did ask Him to give me purpose as I traveled this road. While battling a difficult moment from the chemo treatments, I heard my daughter's voice singing "Breath of Heaven." When I prayed for a breath from heaven the Lord answered with the thought of writing this book. During this project I found myself absorbed, distracted and discovering a secret place with the Lord. When my head was foggy and nothing else made sense, I could turn to my writing and inexplicably and completely focus on it. With the completion of this book, it is my hope that young lives will be touched by the Holy Spirit and the awesome power of God.

Author/Artist Review

Tell us a little about yourself.  My husband and I live on a ranch in beautiful Southern Oregon. The lush forests and rich landscapes here fuels my creativity and gives me an appreciation for God's creations. Married 35 years, we run a small business which is demanding, but we are blessed to work together. I have 3 married daughters and 5 amazing and healthy grandchildren. These little ones have inspired my story lines, providing a window into their imaginative minds. My blessings are beyond measure and I thank God everyday for His grace!

What was your motivation behind this project?  My passion has always been to write christian children's books. When I was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to endure treatment, I found writing to be my best therapy. This is how my book was born.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  When children read this book, it is my prayer that they realize the majesty and power of the Holy Spirit. As I wrote Adventures of Brady Noble, I believed it could change a child's life.

How were you personally impacted by working on this project?  The Lord was so present during all my creative thoughts as I wrote this book. He guided my story line, gave me endurance and encouraged me. He gets all the glory!

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  My 5 grandchildren were my greatest motivator as I wrote this book. My grandsons helped me shape the adventurous character of Brady Noble. My little granddaughters were my inspiration for Emma and her life on the farm. I loved their pure and simple ideas of life. Their endless zest for life continues to inspire me with endless ideas.

Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  At this time of my life, I realize the "Thy will be done" is my claim to fame. I have rested on this verse and am a better person and author because of it. Another book is planned, Lord willing...
