But when the last couple come off, there is no sign of Kate's Grandparents. Papa Nordstrom and Uncle Ben head right away to St. Paul Minnesota to see if they can find them. But in the middle of the night, a messenger comes with a telegram that brings frightening news.
With that news Kate's mother sends Anders, Kate, and Erik to go look. When they reach Duluth they find out that Grandma is not lost but is stolen! Grandpa says it's the coat that a rich woman gave to Grandma because Grandpa saved the rich couples son from an oncoming train on a train track on the other side of the Atlantic. But Grandma starts leaving behind clues for anyone to follow. Can the three friends trust in God for wisdom in what they do so they can rescue Grandma...before it's too late!?!?
Johanna Wynn5 Stars Out Of 5April 6, 2010Johanna WynnLois Walfrid Johnson is my favorite teen/preteen author. God has gifted this woman incredibly and she uses her gift for His glory. She has a riveting writing style that makes her books hard to set down. I reread the Northwoods Adventure series a couple years ago just for fun and found them just as captivating as when I first read them over 15 years ago. Young women and men alike can relate to the spiritual struggles of her characters and it serves to help ground them in their own faith. I give her books as gifts to the young people I work with and they love them! The other day a mother told me her daughter kept reading one of Johnson's books instead of doing her work.
