mamahawk3 Stars Out Of 5so soOctober 23, 2014mamahawkQuality: 3Value: 3Meets Expectations: 3This is an alright English book. I've used it on four kids now. My oldest two really struggled with it. The middle two flew through it, and they enjoyed it. I think it really just depends on the child. After level C, we switch to BJU Press. CLP has been able to always prepare the kids for the switch, but I wouldn't say this is my favorite book. I do love the price though.

I took him out of public school because he just couldn't read well and was never completing his assignments because he couldn't read the directions. The teachers said that he was lazy and he was always causing trouble. We have been homeschooling for a month now, he still can't read well but I can tell start to tell a difference. I believe he will love to learn once we get over the hump of reading and this book will help us get there.

Dawn Morris5 Stars Out Of 5October 15, 2004Dawn MorrisI have used this series and the readers that go along with them to successfully teach four children to read above grade level from Kindergarten up. It is not "showy" or full of games, but learning to read well takes effort. I regularly recommend this series to parents teaching their children to read.
