mom2abcd5 Stars Out Of 5A nice change for Advent devotionsOctober 24, 2016mom2abcdQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Years of Advent devotions read from a book left our kids ready for a change. This dvd was great for that! We incorporated Scripture and sang the hymn after watching the short clip each day. Dvd is really a great way to keep teens or any age engaged in Advent devotions.
There is a Volume 2, which we also used and liked.

They actually really enjoy it :)
It has been very informative and I am even learning a lot! Who knew...the shelf life for fruit cake is 25 years!
I would recommend it for "mature" kids that are 6 and up.
But it is great for the whole family!

Tell us a little about yourself. Ensign Media was founded in 2004 as a film ministry to provide discipleship materials for small groups, churches, and individuals. We are an interdemoninational ministry designed to help all Christians grow in their knowledge of and relationship with Jesus Christ.
What was your motivation behind this project? We wanted something the whole family could enjoy. So, we produced a DVD containing 25 mini-documentaries (one for each day in December through Christmas) each lasting about 3 to 4 minutes, that would take the viewer through an odyssey of information about Christmas. We wanted to present something that would be entertaining, amusing, and a joy for everyone who loves the season.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? Our hope is that those who view the Advent Calendar on DVD will not only gain new insights into various aspects of the Christmas season, but will also use this time to prepare their hearts in the celebration of Christs birth.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? As Christian apologists, we greatly enjoy the writings of C.S. Lewis and appreciate his defense of orthodox Christianity.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: We are always looking for subjects for documentary films that would be of interest to small groups. To submit your ideas or learn more about us please visit us at www.ensignmedia.com.
