Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) curriculum has Scripture as its foundation, fully integrating biblical principles, wisdom, and character-building concepts into education. Students move at their own speed through the self-instructional "PACE" workbooks. Following the mastery approach, PACEs are formatted for students to complete the exercises found throughout the workbook, take a practice "self test," and conclude with a "final test" (torn out from the center) to measure understanding.

Students will learn the foundational aspects of English grammar and writing with School of Tomorrow's Basic English Composition 1 curriculum. This set includes PACEs 1-10, and covers:

  • Correct words usage, noting commonly misused words, useless words and phrases, and overused expressions. Nouns, the classification of nouns, forming plurals, and making nouns possessive.
  • Personal pronouns and their proper uses in sentences and clauses with emphasis on avoiding common errors.
  • Verbs: verb and noun agreement, verb tenses, voice, types of verbs, and verb moods.
  • Adjectives and adverbs: types, forms, derivations, usages - with correct and incorrect examples.
  • Conjunctions and prepositions, giving a solid understanding of their nature and uses.
  • Punctuation, both ending and internal, with special uses of the dash, quotation marks, apostrophes, and parentheses.
  • The Mechanics of writing, handling the tools properly: abbreviating, hyphenating, and numbering.
  • A review of all the previously covered parts, discussing the making of sentences, paragraphs, and compositions.
