Prologue: Welcome to the community of Little River, a town in the heart of America. It has all the usual requirements for a small city: a town square, local cafes, grocery stores, gas stations, beauty and barber shops, schools churches, a hospital, movie theaters, fast food places, a dance hall, several bars, a retirement village, and a large prison on the outskirts of town. Our focus will be on one of the town's smaller churches. The Lily of the Valley Community Church. Be prepared to feel right at home. This could be your town, your neighbors, your church, or your minister. As usual, the members of the Lilly of the Valley Church pray in the tough times, and thank God in the good times. There are few easy solutions. In the midst of it all, God somehow accomplishes His purpose. Through the miracle of e-mail, Pastor Wayne shares some of his favorite stories with his older brother and confidant, Dr. Chuck Latimer, a medical missionary in Papua New Guinea. These brothers have shared a close bond throughout their lives. Dr. Chuck has recently moved his family across the Pacific Ocean to join the staff of South Pacific Mission. We enter the story as Pastor Wayne is settling his family and his well-used computer into their new surroundings...
