Which is why I bought it! I was so happy to find an ancient history book that's not full of christian fairy tales presented as fact and treats that religion on equal footing with the others where it belongs. My son hasn't started using it yet, but I've read quite a bit of it and love it. I can't wait to do the activities together! Although, I don't think we're going to mummify a chicken. There's plenty of other projects though!
I can't imagine why Christian families use Well Trained Mine products. All products in which I have seen have a heavy Pagan or anti-Christian tone. Pagan fables are treated as if they are as valid as Christianity. The projects are very Pagan in nature. Some examples of Pagan projects are build a Pagan temple, mummify a chicken, make tattoos, etc. The Well Trained Mind curriculum design has children reading Mein Kampf and Communist Manifesto. As an adult solid in my faith, I still would not saturate my mind with the thoughts of Hitler. Where is the discernment amongst believers?!
