Written as Christ speaking to His disciples who engage in the active life. Short, powerful one-sentence messages. Profoun,; inspiring; sobering and insightful. Truly unusual and great!
Father Gabriel Palau, S.J., is a Spanish priest and author. In his concise work The Active Catholic, he first instructs his readers to point inward before venturing to help others as active Catholics. Father Palau wrote it such as our Lord often spoke to the disciples, with profound statements of Biblical power. In 1905 Cardinal Merry Del Val made known the Holy Father's own satisfaction with the book, observing its remarkable substance of practical religious life. The Active Catholic was published in 1910 by Manresa Press with the Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur, originally under the title of The Practical Catholic.
