Tell us a little about yourself. I'm a retired teacher who is now writing and illustrating children's books. I live in the mountains of North Carolina with my husband and french bulldog. I love books with humor and heart and I hope that's what readers will in Acorn and Button.

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? I've had many influences in my life. Here are a few: The Narnia books, by C.S. Lewis (classic) Treasures of the Snow, by Patricia St John (timeless) Diary of a Worm, by Doreen Cronin Sticky Burr, by John Lechner The Bad Seed, by Jory Jon Frog and Toad, by Arnold Lobel The Remember Balloons, by Jesse Oliveros Some of my favorite illustrators are Michael Salsbury, Dani Geremia, Jade Fang, Penny Weber, Joanna Cooke, Susan Batori and Sonia Possintini.
