The Accelerated Piano Adventures: For the Older Beginner series is the perfect i ntroduction to piano for students who don't need the cutesy-cartoons that often pepper beginning piano instruction books. Accelerated Piano Adventures: For the Older Beginner Technique & Artistry Book 2 includes fifteen units that are correlated with the Lesson Book 2 (Lesson Book pages are indicated in the lower right of the page), and provide additional exercises to strengthen students' technical skill and artistic performance abilities.
Students will learn to keep firm fingertips, use arm weight for efficient p laying, keep a relaxed wrist, slur gesture, connecting pedal and other tips; small warm-up pieces are given along with instructions to focus upon certain techniques. The Artistry Magic pages provide an opportunity for expressive playing.
