Greentop755 Stars Out Of 5EngagingAugust 31, 2017Greentop75Quality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I really enjoy the colorful curriculum and worksheets to teach phonics. My daughter enjoys the colorful pictures and activities on the pages that teach the phonics rules. For kindergarten we didn't do Abeka and her curriculum was drab and much less engaging. I'm so glad we switched to Abeka. It goes at a good pace and doesn't seem to introduce too much too fast-starting out with a solid review of what she learned last year while introducing new concepts at a reasonable pace-so she has time to get a solid knowledge of them before she goes on, which is key for helping children become good readers. Abeka's phonics program is stellar, has been around for a long time, and looking at this curriculum it's easy to see why it will be around for a long time to come. It's a great way to go for phonics! I'm so glad we switched.

From a money saving perspective, you can guess what those special sounds are from looking at the other activities in the lessons. Overall, this does not take away from the ability to learn from the lessons or complete the activities. This is still a really great colorful and fun workbook for homeschooling.
