My 2 (almost 3) yr old begged and begged to do school with her older siblings. I had a little extra so I ordered this book on a whim. I'm so glad I did! She loves it! It's just enough to make her feel accomplished, and she can post it on the fridge for a day! She learned her colors with this book. She liked it so much that we ordered the Child Art for 3s for this year and another copy of this book for her little sister that is trying to do school with her. :)

This book teaches shapes and colors and goes great with the Learning Numbers with Button Bear for 2's book. So many unschoolers say that children should be free to run and play all day not considering how quickly most homeschooling programs advance and require a child to learn by a certain age. By age 5 most kindergarten curriculums require that children know and understand all of the beginning phonetic sounds, write them and be able to count to at least 20. The ABeka 2's program is a great place to start getting your child ready for Kinderdarten early on while having a goal in mind where your child should be by a certain age.
