This movie is a masterpiece. It's a Christian movie, but not chuck full of stale platitudes and verse quotations; something I think that plagues the church today. What this movie features, is a family who is struck with grief, as they have to watch their middle aged mother/wife succumb to early on-set Alheizmers. The movie is simple, very realistic, and wholly authentic in depicting the toll it takes on the family. The film succeeds because of it's authenticity and is character driven. I am a Christian, but don't like many Christian movies that push the gospel to the forefront so much that it becomes more like a political agenda than a message...this movie centers on real life, and is moving because of John's dedication to his wife, which yes, is largely because of this faith. I love this movie, and everyone should see it!
This was in our private collection as a VHS, and felt we needed to have the DVD available in our church library. The message of committment and loyalty through the most difficult of circumstances is one everyone needs to hear today, so the "I do's" become "I did!"
