A Time of Departing 2nd Edition

I first read "Many shall come in My name" by the same author. I recommend both, even though some of the information from the first book is repeated here. This is well written, and Mr. Yungen supports his thesis with much reliable and verifiable evidence. I keep running into New Agers--inside the church, as well as outside. In order to help those outside to recognize their need for salvation and to help those inside the church who are being led away from the gospel, this kind of information is needed. Every believer should read this book. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Very grateful to Mr. Yungen and the publisher.

This book came in to my hands at a very critical time when I was struggling with some unanswered questions about the emerging church. The author helped to trace these "roots" back to the origins of ancient mystery religions and connect the dots to current trends we are seeing all around us. I gave a copy to both my pastors!

This book is a must read for each and every Christian, especially those in ministry! I am more aware now of all the New Age and Mystical influence on nearly everything in our culture. "And they shall teach My people the difference between the holy and the unholy, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean." Ezekiel 44:23

In April of this year I heard about this new spirituality that is entering the churches. It's the emergent church movement. I began my search for what it was all about by reading A Time of Departing. This book is exceptionally well-documented. It's a must read for anyone who wants to keep from being deceived in these last days. There are many well-known religious leaders and authors who are involved. Many of their beliefs are heresy. We need to know who they are and what they really believe...not what we assume they believe just because we have heard their names connected with Christianty for a number of years. The New Age Movement has re-packaged itself...and this is it. My eyes have been opened in a dramatic way because of this book. After reading this one, you might also consider reading Faith Undone by Roger Oakland. Both excellent books.
