Q: Would this text be suitable for self-study? My son is almost entirely an independent learner at home. He is 12/8th grade. We are looking at beginning this book next fall. Can it be used for independent study, or is it more appropriate in a group context?
This book gives you an overview of the New Testament in layman's terms. It is a reading book only; there are no study questions in it.

Tell us a little about yourself. I am an educator, administrator, and Pastor. I am married to Linda, and have three daughters. a son-in-law, and two lovely granddaughters. I have been a Christian for over 45 years, and I am a life-long student of God's Word.
What was your motivation behind this project? I needed a book designed for high school/early college level students. Not finding what I needed after many years of teaching, I prepared the book to be used at our Christian High School, and then went on to have it published.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? My desire is that they will develop a better understanding of the teachings of the New Testament by placing it in the context of its historical/cultural setting.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? As any teacher will tell you, the research and study to put this together taught me more than I could ever share with others.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? There has been a lot of instructors, pastors, and laymen who have challenged me, directed me, and corrected me over the years. My Dad was probably the biggest influence in my life.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: I was blessed to get endorsements from Dr. Jerry Falwell before he died. I believe that this book will help students of the Bible to get a better grasp of the teachings of God.
