This book is William Phillippe's lifelong stewardship file: a collection of materials he has used in four decades of training, talks, and sermons about giving to the church. It includes biblical texts, sermons, sermon ideas, entertaining stories, sayings, and other miscellaneous ideas and aids for ministers, lay leaders and others who are interested in talking about stewardship. Emphasizing both the essential nature and biblical imperative of supporting God's mission and ministry worldwide, Phillippe urges pastors not to overestimate the sensitivity of their congregations on the subject of money--and to "for heaven's sake, be cheerful about it."
