Are you looking for a journal that helps you spend time with God? Want something bright and fun to write in? Having a hard time dedicating time to writing you thoughts? This is the journal for you then!

A Standard of Grace is a beautifully designed journal. It's a beautiful white journal with bright colors and gold foil. It includes three satin bookmarks as well. The font is amazing, the colors are easy on the eyes and the photographs included make it personal and exciting.

The overall layout and design of this journal is fun and easy. It's broken into 52 weeks which means its a yearly journal. Each week has two prompts with space to write. I love that it only gives two prompts because it doesn't make it a hard task to do within a week. Each week begins with a focal topic and a corresponding scripture. Then there is sort of a "devotional" wit about two paragraphs. The questions correlate with the topic, verse and devotional. There are also quotes as well.

I truly enjoy this journal. The paper quality is amazing. It works well with all types of pens and highlighters.

Definitely recommend for personal use and as a gift.

A STANDARD OF GRACE JOURNAL BY: EMILY LEY REVIEW

A Standard of Grace is a such a very detailed and beautifully laid out journal. You will want to get a cup of tea or coffee and start your mornings with this journal created by Emily Ley. The outside covers are hardback and brightly colored. The front cover has a very crisp embossed gold lettering that makes this journal cover simple but elegant. Inside is the 52 weeks journaling prompts. Each week focuses on one or two prompts instead of a Daily Prompt. I personally love the weekly prompts since I usually tend to get busy and write in a daily journal or struggle to find enough to write about. So if you are on the go this journal is perfect for you! Usually, in a week I have a lot to reflect on. Emily starts each week with a meaningful Bible verse and a little reflection write-up where Emily shares with us her observation from the passage. This is great because it helps me to get started on my thoughts seeing someone else's perspective. The detail! There is so much detail that went into this journal. The journal is VERY well made even down to the quality of the paper. Each page is not the made of cheap paper, you can use pens, highlighters, etc to record your thoughts on this paper and you won't see it bled onto the next page. Also, included are three, not one but THREE beautiful ribbon page markers. In blue, yellow and red. I love this added touch I am a sucker for small details and this just took this journal from a four to a five-star rating! But, it gets even better! Each page also includes beautiful photography of Emily Ley putting her words into action. Each image has a very inspiring quote to encourage you on your day. I absolutely love this! I highly recommend this journal to anyone wanting to or are trying to get their life organized. Having the right tools makes all the difference and this is a great tool for a simplified life.

So starting on the outside, it is a beautiful and bright hardback. The front lettering is embossed in gold. Also, there are 3, yes THREE, colorful (navy, yellow, and pink) ribbon bookmarks. Yep, excited! This journal is smaller than the average notebook yet larger than the average journal (9x6.6).

Now for the inside, this is the GOOD paper. I mean you can use gel pens or even a highlighter without worry of it bleeding through. The guided journal is organized weekly instead of daily, with about 2 journaling prompts per week. It's enough to really get into but not so much that it takes us too much time. So it is PERFECT for the busy mama (like myself) or even the busy gal on the go who wants to stop to smell the roses but still has a full plate. There are also loads of beautiful photography found in the book.

The purpose of this guided journal is to get us to slow down to create the life we want and will be proud of. Not a life of perfection but one full of grace and mercy. One that has room for margin, which means less stress and frustration when disruptions to our day come. She also encourages us to dream in our journaling. And there are plenty of nuggets of inspiration and motivating quotes sprinkled throughout the journal.

I'd definitely recommend, especially for those who could use help in staying on track in journaling. *hand raised*

(FYI: I received this journal from the publisher in exchange for my HONEST opinion.)

A Standard of Grace is not like all the others. Its perfect for this busy mom who has very little time to herself. A Standard of Grace is broken down in 52 weeks, each week focuses on one or two journaling prompts...I LOVE this aspect, some times I find daily prompt journals to bit a bit overwhelming or underwhelming, the fact that this one focuses on less means that we are really able to mull over what you are writing in your journal!! Each week starts with a VERY meaningful Bible verse {LOVE} and a little paragraph where Emily shares her thought, feelings or just an observation {again LOVE} It truly feels like your are journaling with your friend who cares and deeply loves you!
