Tell us a little about yourself. First of all, my heart belongs to Jesus. My husband of 40 years, our five adult children, their spouses and our eight grandkids squeeze into my heart, expanding it daily. I've been writing in earnest for over ten years. Never had time before! Jim and I owned a country inn in the Pocono Mountains of PA for eleven years and I met so many interesting people. Some of them appear, though disguised, in my novels. While at the inn, I sold a lot of my original oil paintings and used my ability to play the piano to accompany my guests in sing-a longs. I also cooked, ran art workshops and cleaned rooms - when need be. I enjoy my new writing life and use my fiction to drop seeds of faith and words of encouragement.
What was your motivation behind this project? I love writing Christian novels and my motivation is the same with each new book -- to encourage believers and reach out to those who question the existence of God. My characters go through real life situations and have doubts and fears as we all do. My books are realistic, yet I try to keep them entertaining as well.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I hope people who read or listen to my books are not just entertained, but that they will be encouraged to reach for their Bibles and spend more time in prayer as a result of following my characters in their life's struggles.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? Any time I write a book, I spend hours in preparation - getting to know my characters. Once they are 'real' to me, I write their stories. Sara is a special woman and the surprise she has in store brought tears to my eyes as I wrote it. I'll say no more!
