See in the manger a child who comes into this world in a humble stable far from the palatial surroundings of earthly kings. Then when all seems calm in the stable, Gur will face his greatest battle in protecting his family and the Christ child. Kay Erwin, her husband and their Australian Shepherd Deacon, have spent most of their lives along the Gulf Coast of Texas. Kay graduated from West Texas State University in 1980 and has spent most of her career in technology. Her passion has always been teaching Gods Word through a ministry to College Students and Womens Bible Study for the past 15 years. She and her husband, for the past year, have been praying about a ministry of encouragement through the written word. In 2007 they created a design and ministry endeavor, called Deacon Dog Designs. Her belief is that one of Gods greatest examples of unconditional love is demonstrated through the relationship of a dog to his master. Her love of animals has lead her to write a series of cards for encouragement, utilizing dogs to demonstrate Gods principles. She is in the process of developing several childrens books, an extended line of cards and devotionals.
