Three young friends enter the most important season of their lives. But relationships have changed, and only time will tell if Lindsay, Katie, and Lizzie Anne have made the right choices.
Three young women are about to change their lives: Lizzie Anne and Samuel have decided to get married, and Lindsay is about to be baptized into the Amish faith and is being courted by Matthew. While Katie Kauffman is happy for her friends who seem to have settled their futures, she is also finding herself something of a fifth wheel.
When Lindsays sister Jessica returns to Bird-in-Hand, she finds that Jake Miller has moved on with his life. He lost hope that Jessica would ever be satisfied to settle in rural Pennsylvania and takes comfort in becoming close friends with Katie. However, its not an easy road as Jake is Mennonite and Katie has just been baptized. Her father forbids them to see each other, adamant that his daughter marry an Amish man.
Take a trip to Bird-in-Hand, Pennsylvania, where youll meet the delightful women of the Kauffman Amish Bakery in Lancaster County. As each womans story unfolds, you will share in her joys, dreams . . . and secrets. Youll discover the simplicity of the Amish lifestyle and, most importantly, you will be encouraged by the hope and faith of these women, and the importance they place on their families.

What I like best about #5 was that it brought together all the stories and the characters talked about in #1-4. It tied up all the loose ends of the other 4 books. I just could not put the book down.
I especially enjoy the series books because the story continues on to more adventures etc.
I would highly recommend this series as a GOOD READ. The author is a great writer. Keep these kinds of books coming. Enjoyed greatly
MariIllinoisAge: 55-65Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5Charming Conclusion to Kauffman Amish Bakery SeriesMay 13, 2016MariIllinoisAge: 55-65Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5A Season of Love, the final book in Amy Clipston's Kauffman Amish Bakery series, was a heartwarming couldn't stop reading till the last word. Katie, Lizzie Ann and Lindsay friendship is strong and special until Lizzie Ann and Lindsay are engaged or seriously dating. What will happen to Katie when her father doesn't believe her about Jake Miller, a Mennonite boy, who rescued her from some mean young men? After all Jake has a connection to the Amish community in Bird-in-Hand, PA since his mother grew up Amish.
A Season of Love was a wonderful conclusion to the charming characters in the Kauffman Amish Bakery series. There are plenty of twists and turns along with laughter, love, disappointments, faith, hurt, sorrow and healing among family members. Readers of Amish genre will enjoy the entire series. This reader is glad to have completed the series with all the books staying in her personal library.
TunesareusVirginia1 Stars Out Of 5Juvenile, unrealistic, contains spoiler alertSeptember 3, 2015TunesareusVirginiaQuality: 3Value: 4Meets Expectations: 1This book is very repetitive and mostly a lot of childish drivel. A middle schooler might find this interesting, but as an adult, I found it juvenile and boring.
Beyond that, it was pretty unrealistic too. There was very little development of the love story. Rational people just don't turn their worlds upside down over someone they decide they're in love with one day that they weren't the day before. Also, the way the main character's father treats her is abominable at times. I can't imagine putting up with being treated that way, nor would I want to encourage an impressionable teenager to think they should.
SPOILER ALERT: And the ending is completely unbelievable. I'm no expert, but I don't buy a Mennonite converting to Amish; they don't believe the same things about Jesus or salvation or missions (among other things I'd guess). You just don't go from a saving faith and personal relationship with the Savior to a religion that doesn't even believe this is possible. That notwithstanding, faith that "changes" just to be with someone else, isn't genuine faith. A poor message to any reader, especially a young one.
I really found nothing uplifting about this book. A pitty; the first few in this series were much better. I only kept reading to complete the series and because I hoped it would get better, but I ended up sorry I wasted my time on it. I recommend skipping it; it adds nothing to the series.
