Be prepared "in season and out" with this handy reference book of faith. Timely and biblically based, Josh McDowell's work offers defenses in 60 of the most-challenged areas of faith. All in one easy-to-reference volume, this book will strengthen your commitment and help you stand firm against challenges to the truth.
As a young man, Josh McDowell considered himself an agnostic. He truly believed that Christianity was worthless. However, when challenged to intellectually examine the claims of Christianity, Josh discovered compelling and overwhelming evidence for the reliability of the Christian faith. After trusting in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, Joshs life changed dramatically as he experienced the power of Gods love. After his conversion, Josh committed his life to telling a doubting world about the truth of Jesus Christ. After studying at Kellogg College, Josh completed his college degree at Wheaton College and then attended Talbot Theological Seminary, graduating magna cum laude with a Masters of Divinity. Working with Campus Crusade for Christ and founding the youth outreach, Josh McDowell Ministry, Josh has shared the gospel with more than 25 million people in 125 countries. He is the author or co-authored of 147 books.

It provides a ready reference for most of the major questions about the Christian faith and draws from most of his other works. He calls it an answer to his reader's best questions regarding Christian apologetics. I would call it "Evidence..." lite :-) I use my copy frequently; you will too.

Josh Selley4 Stars Out Of 5June 11, 2010Josh SelleyI have found Bro. McDowell's ministry to be an exceptional one, especially in these handy guides on how to minister to the unsaved and unchurched. Even though you may disagree with some of what was shared in "A Ready Defense", one thing you have to agree on is the fact that Jesus is Lord and that He is coming again; whether you are ready or not.
