We borrowed this book from the library for homeschool, but my son said that he wished we could have it at our house all the time, so I bought it for him as an Easter gift. It's a great introduction to foreign missions for children. It's written at about a 3rd grade reading level.

We were looking for a book on missions for our 6 and 9 year old that was age-appropriate, engaging, and focused on glorifying God rather than just showcasing a missionary. This excellent book exceeded our expectations! Told from the perspective of a young village boy named Kuri, we have a fast-paced journey alongside him as his father chooses to trust and follow God rather than yeild to the pagan traditions of their village's Head Man. We grow with Kuri as he sees firsthand the true God's protection and provision . Best of all, the book is based on true events!
