Pauline Parker5 Stars Out Of 5May 1, 2009Pauline ParkerI found this book one of the best Amish books I have read yet. It was so compelling and true to life. I felt Wayne's pain and heartache as he let Loraine go into the arms of an old boyfriend Jake, thinking she was better off with him. I have referred this book to all my friends.
Carol Allen5 Stars Out Of 5May 1, 2009Carol AllenA heart rending story of a young woman willing be be a servant of the Lord in spite of the odds against her. I really enjoyed the conclusion of the last few chapters and how the lives of Lorraine, Wayne and Jake were tried and tested and how the love of God and their faith in His Word allowed them to let Him work out the details of their lives. Looking forward to the next book, if this is to be a series. Thanks you, Wanda, it was a joy meeting you in Warren, Ohio, at the New Beginnings Christian Book Store.
Janet South5 Stars Out Of 5May 1, 2009Janet SouthLoraine did not give up on Wayne and his mother Ada and shows Loraine faith in the Lord and helping Ada even though Ada was hateful to her. Wayne proved to himself during a disaster that he could provide for a wife and realized he could not give up Loraine. Jake knew by looking in Wayne's and Loraine's eyes and expressions that they belong together and their love was very strong through the Lord. Wayne said he was returning to Montana and did not put Loraine or Wayne in an embarrassing position and showed unselfishness on his part. I can't wait for the second series of the book.
