My first book by this great duo was The Centurians Wife ,( by they way should get a 10star rating ) so, led me to find other novels they had written . I have not been the least disappointed . The characters are discribed so well , it makes them come alive . Everything from the soldiers uniforms , to the houses are so detailed , I almost feel the chill of the winter weathers . I would love these to be made into movies .

I absolutely loved this book.I've already read the whole series once and am now reading them for the second time.Such a fantastic series.A perfect blend of Janette Oke's homespun writing style and Davis Bunn's great history skills.Very good book!!

After reading many Janette Oke books which I began reading after the movie "Love Comes Softly" came out I picked up the Song of Acadia series. I missed the pioneer prairie background, but this book is written differently than the other Janette Oke books I've read. There seems to be more depth to the characters and deeper descriptions of the environment which draws you into the story even more. The tender love expressed between the couples are beautiful, touching, and still clean. Excellent writing and now I've started the second book and am having trouble putting it down. It sure beats watching TV.

I love reading Janette Oke's books! They're all so good. They take you back to the craved old-fashioned days and values. And I especially loved reading this Song of Acadia series. Excellent!! Anytime I finished a book, I couldn't wait for the next to come out. Janette Oke & Beverly Lewis are my favorite Christian fiction authors right now. They're so much fun to read. Enjoy! :)
